Mobile puncture repair, at your door

A tyre can be repaired when the puncture is in the tread, the central part that touches the road, and no larger than 6 mm: a nail, a screw, a small object. The tyre must be in good condition and must not have been driven flat for long.

It cannot be repaired, and must be replaced, when:

• the puncture is on the sidewall or shoulder;
• there is a cut, a bulge or a deformation;
• the tyre has been driven flat: its internal structure is damaged even if nothing shows;
• the tread is worn down to the wear indicators;
• it is a run-flat tyre, which manufacturers generally advise against repairing.

We always remove the tyre from the rim to inspect it from the inside before deciding.

We take the tyre off the rim, remove the object and repair from the inside with a plug-patch that seals the hole and restores airtightness. This is the lasting, professional method. We do not insert string plugs from the outside: that is a get-you-home fix, not a repair. Then we refit, balance the wheel and set the pressure. Allow half an hour.

The repair costs €45 incl. VAT, call-out included within our area. For a same-day visit, subject to availability, we charge a €20 supplement. If the tyre cannot be repaired, we offer a new tyre fitted on site at our standard price: you decide before any work is done.

We do not attend on motorways or dual carriageways: if you are stranded on the A40 or a fast road, call your breakdown cover first to be moved to safety.

• Do not drive on a flat tyre, even a few hundred metres: it would be damaged beyond repair and the rim may be damaged too.
• If you have a spare or a space-saver, fit it and keep the punctured tyre in the boot: we repair it at your home.
• If you used tyre sealant spray or a puncture repair kit, tell us: the foam often leaves the tyre beyond repair.
• Take a photo of the tyre and the object and send it to us on WhatsApp: we will tell you straight away whether a repair looks possible.
